Insights into Toll Processing at NETZSCH Lohnmahltechnik GmbH

On March 12, 2026, NETZSCH Lohnmahltechnik GmbH in Bobingen hosted the open house event “Experience Toll Processing at NETZSCH. Processes. People. Solutions.” Between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, around 70 participants took the opportunity to gain first hand insights into toll processing and to exchange ideas with experts from across the NETZSCH Group.

After the official welcome by representatives of NETZSCH, the Mayor of Bobingen and the District Administrator of the Augsburg district, the program offered a structured overview of services, technologies and collaboration within the group. Throughout the day, the atmosphere was open and focused, with many technical discussions taking place across departments and disciplines.

Guided Tours Through Production

From 11:00 AM onwards, guided plant tours were conducted in groups. Across six stations, visitors received detailed insights into the processing of hazardous materials, quality assurance procedures, dry and wet grinding as well as handling and storage of processed materials.

Each station focused on a specific step within the toll processing workflow, allowing participants to follow the material flow through the facility and gain a structured understanding of the overall process chain. Safety measures, documentation standards and practical implementation in daily operations were explained directly in the production environment.

The tours provided a practical understanding of operational processes and safety standards at NETZSCH Lohnmahltechnik. Participants were able to ask questions directly on site and discuss specific applications with process and application specialists.

Regional Food and Informal Exchange

From midday onwards, food trucks on site offered a selection of regional and international specialties. Guests could choose between burgers with fries, Käsespätzle, an Augsburg specialty burger, Belgian skewers as well as sweet options such as chocolate covered fruits and chocolate kebab.

The food trucks created a relaxed setting that encouraged informal exchange. Conversations between participants, speakers and NETZSCH colleagues continued outside the presentation area, allowing technical discussions to deepen in a more personal atmosphere.

The combination of professional dialogue and casual interaction contributed to the positive and open mood throughout the day.
