New in Bremen: NETZSCH Vakumix moves to the airport city

Specialist for the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and food industries

Bremen, March 2024. NETZSCH Vakumix, a manufacturer of machines and systems for the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and food industries, is moving from its current location in Weye-Dreyhe to Bremen Airport City. In future, the company will employ 53 people in the areas of sales, service and engineering. NETZSCH Vakumix is part of the globally active NETZSCH Group with headquarters in Selb, Bavaria. The relocation was supported by WFB Wirtschaftsförderung Bremen GmbH.

Jörg Lengenfelder, COO of the NETZSCH Grinding & Dispersing division, explains the move to Bremen Airport City with the excellent Bremen infrastructure: "The new location is within walking distance of Bremen Airport and in the immediate vicinity of the highway. The traffic situation for our employees is therefore extremely favorable and we have ideal access to our pharmaceutical customers both regionally and abroad."

NETZSCH Vakumix products are used wherever raw materials for the food, pharmaceutical or cosmetics industries need to be mixed precisely. One example is homogenization systems that bring immiscible liquids into a uniform (= homogeneous) mass. These include fats and water for cosmetic or medicinal creams.

NETZSCH Vakumix is part of the NETZSCH Group's Grinding & Dispersing Business Unit, which generated around a third of the Group's total turnover of 856 million euros in the 2022/23 financial year and employs 1,300 of the total 4,400 employees.

"We are glad that the new premises were found in Bremen. NETZSCH creates highly qualified jobs in the airport city and offers great potential for growth. With its product portfolio, it also complements Bremen as an industrial location with additional expertise in key sectors such as the food and beverage industry," says Andreas Heyer, CEO of WFB. "The settlement also underpins the qualities of the Airport City business park in terms of transport quality and infrastructure, as well as in the area of research and development. With almost 600 companies and more than 21,000 employees, Airport City is a success story that will be enriched by NETZSCH Vakumix."

WFB supported the company with its relocation services, such as assistance in finding a location and registering a business.
