Donation to UNICEF - Children in need

Once again this year, the Grinding & Dispersing division in Germany has decided to forego customer Christmas presents in order to donate the money to children in need.

The management has released an amount of € 10,000.00. Among many other projects, UNICEF is currently supporting children in Gaza and Ukraine in particular. On January 16, 2024, the donation cheque was handed over in Selb by Ms. Giesela Schardt from the UNICEF Working Group Northern Upper Franconia and Ingo Rädisch (CEO of the NETZSCH Grinding & Dispersing).

Help for the children in Gaza

Impending famine, water shortages and the outbreak of disease are currently the issues that cause the most concern in Gaza. The situation for the children is frightening: they are currently not safe anywhere. Families on the run are living in makeshift shelters and fear for their lives. It is precisely for these people that we want to be there, set an example and express our solidarity. Gaza is currently the most dangerous place in the world.

UNICEF continues to help in Ukraine

Rocket attacks and the onset of winter: the need in Ukraine is getting worse. Many children have to survive this winter in emergency shelters and damaged buildings, barely protected from the freezing cold. UNICEF is now providing emergency aid and delivering aid directly to where it is needed. Around 18 million people in Ukraine are currently dependent on humanitarian aid, including more than 7 million children.

How UNICEF helps children - areas in which UNICEF works

Wars, disasters, diseases, hunger, violence and exploitation - UNICEF helps wherever children are in need. From rapid emergency aid to long-term reconstruction, UNICEF helps set the course so that girls and boys all over the world can grow up healthy and safe and develop their full potential.

Our goal is: children's rights - for every child.
